Another finish ready to be framed for Christmas, maybe for Winter too cute only to have up just for a few weeks over Christmas.

I think that is all the stitching I finished over the Summer holkidays but if I remember anything else I will add it later.

The Chalet School books

Two updates for you but I have not done as much stitching as I could, my son asked me to reserve him a library book online.  While I was doing it I looked to see if they had any of the books I used to read when I was a child.  My favourite series was The Chalet School.  I could not believe it they had the first two in the series so I reserved them and when I collected the first one I could not put it down.  It was written in 1925 (no I'm not that old LOL the last one was published in 1970) so some of the language made me smile but I really enjoyed it and I have already started the second  Jo of the Chalet School.  Not sure how many of the 58, yes 58 books in the series they have but I will enjoy reading the ones I can.

I would like to have done a bit more on it but as I said reading took a bit of my time.

Flowers, Showers and a Wintry Mix

I have finished Bent Creek's Flowers and Showers, it was a nice stitching something spring like with all the cold weather we are having at the moment.

My friend Lisa sent me some DMC including the one I needed to finish Just Nan's Wintry Mix. Thanks Lisa.

I am now stitching A Spot Of Tea by Dragon Dreams, hopefully I will be finished by tomorrow and I must not forget to spend some time stitching on my AOY Cowes picture.

Time does fly. LOL It's been a while since I added anything to my blog I bet you all thought I had given it up. LOL It's nearly Christmas and all my presents have been brought, all stitchy presents made and the ornament square swap I was in on the Starydreamers forum have been received. I'll show you the ornament squares today.

This one I stitched for Kay and is called Woodland Joy by Something In Common. It is from the 2000 Just Cross Stitch Ornament Issue.

This one is for Louise and is Roly Poly Snowman by Bent Creek from the 2002 Just Cross Stitch Ornament Issue.

This one is for Rose and is Winter's Eve from Country Cottage Needleworks in the 2006 Just Cross Stitch Ornament Magazine.

I have now received my lovely ornament squares from the girls, just got to scan the last one and I will show you them all tomorrow.
