Gingham Quilt finished

I have finished Just Nan's Gingham Quilt, I think I will make this up as a cube.  I have not found any fabric to use yet but I will post a photo of the finished cube when I do.

Still practicing the Hardanger stitches but I may attempt the  Dove's Eye one on the sampler in a day or two.

I have practiced some of the stitches for the Heirloom Christmas but still need a bit more practice before I do them on the sampler.

I'll finish this one and then a bit more practicing the Hardanger stitches and hopefully I will feel ready for the Sampler.

Gingham Quilt

I have decided while I am waiting to get up the courage to do the cut work on the Heirloom Christmas I will stitch Just Nan's Gingham Quilt.  It has been sitting in my stash for a few years so about time it was stitched.

Hopefully it will not take long to stitch and then I will have to tackle the Hardanger stitches on Heirloom Christmas.

That's it for a bit

Well on the Heirloom Christmas that is, I have reached the last row.   I think I am going to have to practice the other Hardanger stitches I would hate to ruin it now.

I'm very happy at how easy the cutting rows have been so far but the last row is different so I will go and do another quickish project first and then practice some of the stitches before I attempt them on the Heirloom Christmas sampler. 

Candles and a bit more

A few more bands on this beautiful Heirloom Christmas sampler.  I'm beginning to get a tiny bit worried about the bottom section but I'm trying not to think about that bit too much.

There are some poinsettia flowers to be stitched under the candles.  They are made using lazy daisy stitch so I am going to wait until I add the beads to do them. 

If anyone has any hints on stitching the Partial Greek Cross Stitch or Wrapped Bars with Dove's Eye let me know please.  I think I will have to practice them a lot before I start row 30.  Still two more rows to go before I get to it.

Over the weekend

Here is the result of my weekend stitching 

It is getting too long now so here is a close up of the latest stitching.

There are a lot of beads and some ribbon to be added but I will do that once all the stitching is finished.

Off to bake a cake then hopefully a bit more stitching.

A few more bands

I'm still stitching on my Heirloom Christmas

and it is coming on in leaps and bounds.  I am so glad I have picked this one up again. I have been looking at some of the other Heirloom samplers and if I finish this one I think I may get another one.

More Christmas

I took a little break from the Heirloom Christmas to stitch one of the Sanman ornaments.

I so love the snowman that came with the chart.

Now here is the update for my Heirloom Christmas, I am so pleased how the cutwork is going.

I really hope I can finish this.  Back to stitching I'll try and post another update in a couple of days.

Heirloom Christmas

I am so happy that I am finishing some of my UFO's, I just hope I finish a few more this year.

I did not take a photo before I restarted this one.

I was just going to start one of the cutting rows wish me luck.  Hopefully I will have another update in a few days with the cutting row complete.
