Two little tucks

Two Sanman Originals tucks,  I love these tucks.

First is Blue Snowman

I used some Six Strand Sweets thread called Blueberry Cheesecake for the snowman.

Next is one called Charming Christmas

Looks a bit fuzzy in the middle but the charms make it a bit difficult to scan.  The tuck came with the Father Christmas and the Stocking charms and was a quick stitch.

I have stitched a bit more on my Country Cottage Needleworks Vintage Christmas but I will show you it next time.

Hot Cocoa

So far this Christmas Little House Needleworks charts have been the ones I have stitched the most but I have a little pile of Sanman tucks to stitch so watch out for them soon.

This LHN ornament is called Hot Cocoa................mmm I love my hot chocolate and have a mug of it every night and occasionally I add some marshmallows as a treat.

an update to my Vintage Christmas.  I had to unpick a bit as I got carried away doing the outlining of the squares/rectangles and put an extra line in.

Sorry about the photo the colours are way out, I will try and scan it instead next time.

He's A Flake

Another cute Little House Needlework ornament finish.

Snowmen are one of my favourite subjects to stitch and I nearly have all the Lizzie Kate Snowbelle charts so will be stitching that one soon, I cannot wait to start it.

This was a fun stitch I love the snowflake for the  snowmans body.  The tree was stitched using Oliver Twist threads.

I have also been stitching Country Cottage Needleworks Vintage Christmas.
I have used some Six Strand Sweets threads instead of the ones suggested. Mind you I usually just use threads I have as over here the hand dyed ones are so expensive.

I have also stitched the brown line below the Happy Holidays words but it did not all fit on my scanner.  I will have to take a photograph when I finish it.

Tree Farm

Tree Farm another ornament from Little House Needleworks,  Love the little reindeer, reminds me of a story my mum used to tell my boys when they were small.  Mum and my Stepfather Bernie had a house on Lake Baptiste, Ontario Canada and she used to send the boys photo's of the deer that came to visit them.  She used to tell them she looked after the reindeer for Father Christmas.  LOL

I have a little pile of these stitched pieces now,  I really must find some time to make them finished into ornaments.

Cardinal Winter

Shows you how far behind I am.  I only found out the other day that Webshots was closing and it has taken me hours to download my cross stitch photo's and put them onto Photobucket.  I hope they don't close I don't want to do all that again.

Here is my Cardinal Winter from Little House Needleworks.

I love these Little House Needleworks ornaments and have a few more to stitch up and I'm sure my LHN to do list will grow even bigger.

Long time no post

It's been a while since my last post.  With the summer holidays, my sister visiting from Canada and a couple of famly dramas my blog has been badly neglected and so has my stitching.  But I am stitching again.

Here is a Halloween piece I stitched from the Just Cross Stitch Halloween ornament magazine.

It is called White Pumpkins by Donna Bayliss of By the Bay Needlecraft.

Hopefully it will not be long before I post again, I have almost finished a Little House Needlework ornament which I should be able to show you in a day or two.

Happy Stitching

All Our Yesterdays

Well what a lovely long weekend we had.  Jack had his leg in a full cast we could not go to Dover Castle as we had planned so it was the Jubilee on the TV instead.  I knew I would not be able to concentrate on stitching my Fleur Etui so I got out one of the cover kits from a stitching magazine.  It took me all the long weekend to stitch it as I watched as much of the Diamond Jubilee as possible.

I have also stitched a bit more of the Fleur Etui

Did you see the Jubilee?  So many people celebrating it was wonderful.  The river pageant was lovely and the concert was great, loved Madness singing on the roof of the palace.

Fleur Etui

Just a quick post, not had much time to stitch.  My 15 year old dislocated his knee again at school.  Second time in three months so we have spend two days visiting the hospital and now he has a full leg cast on for at least a month.

I did start the Fleur  Etui

That is two of the panels finished

I have stitched a bit more of the Blossom Harvest as well but not enough to take another picture and show you.  I will add it to the next post.

Four Jubilee weekend here, we were going to Dover Castle but now Jack has injured his knee we will have to stay home.  He will not be up to all that walking.

Here is an update of my blossom Harvest by Mirabilia

I received the magazine for the Cross Stitch Guild the other day and there is a project in there I REALLY want to stitch.  Never made anything like this before but I so want to make this.

This is the inside and this

is Fleur Etui box closed.  Sorry about the picture.

It is beautiful.

Cakes Cooked

What a busy week with very little stitching time but I did get time to finish the Country Cottage Needleworks Party Cakes.

Now I need to find t he right frame.  It was a lovely easy stitch just like all the CCN charts.

Here is an update on my Mirabilia Blossom Harvest

Unfortunately I did not get to stitch on my Late Stroll project but will make sure I do this week.  I really want to start one of the samplers I have but trying to be good and stitch a bit more on the pieces I have started.

three updates

Three updates for you

First my Party Cakes
This would have been finished but I don't think I have enough of the Crescent Colours for the bottom band so I will have to wait until I get some more of this colour.  I did not want to do most of it and find the colour difference was very noticeable so hopefully you will see the finished one in my next post.  I will try and take a photo of it so the lines are straight.  LOL

Next is A Late Stroll
I have been very good and stitched all the stitches in the top left hand corner even the single ones.

It is going to look great when finished.

Last update is my new start.
Mirabilia's Blossom Harvest.

This has been waiting in my stash for a few years so about time I started it.

Don't forget to enter the giveaway from Yiota, there are hundreds of charts you could choose from if you are the winner.  The winner will be able to choose three charts from Yiota's website.

A late Stroll update.

I have been stitching on 'A Late Stroll' over the weekend

This is one of the Cross stitch kits  from Yiotas Cross Stitch and will be lovely finished to go with my other winter pictures although it feels that cold here at the moment as spring seems to have vanished.

I must make sure that I stitch on this one at least once a week so will keep you updated on my progress.

A bit more stitching on my Party Cakes today I think.

Party Cakes

When I saw this Country Cottage Needleworks chart I just knew I had to stitch it, who does not like cake.

I have finished two of the cakes and almost finished a third, there are still two more to stitch and the borders but it is such a fun stitch.

We will be having lovely birthday cake tomorrow as Jack will be 15.  A lovely chocolate cake with lots of yummy chocolate icing.

Drawn Thread Spot of Summer

It has been a while since I stitched any of my Drawn Thread charts, I wonder why I left it so long?  I really enjoyed stitching this.

I even enjoyed doing the drawn thread work around the edges.  I have something cute I want to stitch next but I will be doing something else like this very soon.

Ooops I have just noticed I have forgotten to put the beads on the watermelon, they were supposed to be French knots but I wanted to use beads.  I must remember to add them before I make it into a little pillow.

She's finished

I have finished the lovely Amaryllis Pixie

She is so much prettier in real life, when I frame her I will post another picture and hopefully that will show her beading a bit better.

What shall I stitch next?  I still need to get my 'Late Stroll' back out and stitch again but that will have to wait until after the school holidays.  I think I may stitch one of my Drawn Thread charts.  I have not stitched one of them for ages.

Easter Tuck and an almost finished pixie

Looks like I am getting back into my stitching zone again.

Here is an Easter Tuck

It is from the Sanman March newsletter, I did change the colours so I could use some of the Six Strand Sweets I had.

I have almost finished Nora Corbett's Amaryllis Pixie, hopefully I will finish the stitching and the rest of the beads in a couple of days.

I have already added the beads to her hair

Ooops just noticed one of the crystal drop beads is looking a bit off, I will make sure it is hanging properly when I take the next photo.

A little update

I thought I would give you a little update, I have been stitching a bit more on my Amaryllis

I thought I had finished the dress but I still had a bit at the botom and a bit by the wing and I started one of the wings

I also wanted to show you my new snowman floss fob/thingy, sorry I cannot remember what they are called at the moment.  LOL

He was a keyring and in the sale at Tesco,  I took off the keyring bit and added one of those book rings.  I just wish I had got more of them, they had lots of different characters.  He is cute and makes me smile I love snowmen

Not a lot of stitching

I hand has been playing up a bit so not been stitching as much as I would have likes but I did manage some and I also made a few paper crafting cards.

I love this card and though it's not stitching I thought I would show you.

Back to stitching

Here is an update of my Nora Corbett Amaryllis pixie

Just her wings, shoulders and head to do also the beads.

Next is another Mill Hill bead kit

sorry it is blurry I did try and take it a few times and this was the best one.

Amaryllis

Well I really do not know where this year is going, it is almost March!  I have not had much time for stitching yet again but I have finished one small item and started another.

Here is my new start

One of Nora Corbett's Spring Garden Pixies, she is called Amaryllis.  I have put her next to a picture of the finished fairy as on its own it did not look like anything.  Hopefully I will get more stitching time this week and she will start to look like the picture.

I did stitch one of the Mill Hill bead kits called Halloween.

I do hope I find more time this week for stitching and  have more to show you.

Berries, eggs and Charlie

Half term holidays and lots to do but I have a couple of finishes

First is a Little House Needlework chart called Berries

The other one is a Lizzie Kate one

its called Green Eggs even though the eggs are blue. LOL  It came with a very cute chicken button.

The snow has finally gone and it looks like the weather is going to be a bit warmer for a few days.  I'm glad it has gone but my dog Charlie loves it.

Here she is waiting for one of the boys to throw a snowball for her to catch.

Finished!

Don't faint but I finished the Embroidery Guild.

Hopefully I am properly back in stitching mode, I have so many charts I want to stitch and there are alsways so many more to add to my list. LOL

Must dash, I have to make a chocolate cake before the boys come home from school.

Friday, 27 January 2012

Well!

I cannot beleive it is almost the end of January and I have not finished one piece of stitching.  I know things have been busy but I should have finished something.  I have stitched a bit but I must stitch more from now on.

Here is my new project

I am going to try and finish the Embroidery Guild this weekend so hopefully I will be able to post it early next week.

Thursday, 12 January 2012

Sorry for not posting again!

I have been so busy over Christmas and since but hopefully things will be back to normal from now on.  Not much stitching done since Christmas I have started a Little House Needlework chart called Embroidery Guild but I will show you that another time.  I have a couple more things I finished last year so will post them today.

First is Moose Be Christmas from SanMan Originals

Another SanMan Originals snowman tuck

This one is from Oakhaven designs, I left off the words at the bottom.  I love owls and have lots of the Oakhaven owls to stitch.

Well I will try and get back into blogging and not leave it so long before my next post.  I have my big project to continue as well it is called A Late Stroll and is one of the  cross stitch kits from Yiotas x-stitch . I will stitch some more of it this weekend.
